Famous Famiglia Delivers Increased Customer Satisfaction

Electronic menu boards have never been more simple to implement, design, and utilize. Famous Famiglia, a fast growing pizzeria chain, is one of the many clients that has seen a significant return on investment with the ElectroMenu Board Solution. Known for creating high-quality food and providing quick service, Famous Famiglia employees simply do not have time to dedicate to changing items and prices on menu boards. When company management realized the current process of updating their menu boards was cumbersome and inefficient, they began searching for a new solution. The system includes the LC8700, a retail-hardened computer from Bematech, which comes embedded with ElectroMenu's OS and application software. The computer can then be connected to any standard LCD monitor to provide a complete electronic menu board solution. The LC8700 is a fanless and ventless computer, making it ideal for harsh environments like foodservice that typically have high levels of dust, oil, and other liquids. There are multiple components within the Electronic Menu Board solution; a board controller is able to run a single menu board, store controllers that are able to control multiple board controllers within a single store in addition to run a single menu board, and a headquarters controller that acts as an enterprise solution controlling multiple stores from a single location. The electronic menu board uses a unique "pull" strategy that enables enterprises to streamline menu updates across hundreds of locations. The solution is also a non-windows based "crash proof" application that does not require any programming to be completed at the store level. Now, Famous Famiglia has the ability to instantly update menus at each of the install locations remotely. To date, electronic menu board systems have been installed at 4 different Famous Famiglia locations including New York City's Times Square, Newark Airport, Sacramento Airport, and the Headquarters Controller in White Plains, NY. The average installation time was approximately 2 hours before going live, making enterprise-wide expansion easy. Famous Famiglia also held a one-time training session at their headquarters that lasted 4 hours, eliminating the need to train employees at the store level.
